Dnyantra (the “App”) is a home-screen launcher for Android car head units and tablets. It is designed to run entirely on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your data, and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information.

1. The short version

• No account or sign-in is required.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included.
• The App has no backend — your data never leaves your device through Dnyantra.
• All settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.

2. Permissions and why the App uses them

To function as a car launcher, the App requests certain Android permissions. Information accessed through these permissions is used only on your device, in real time, to power features — it is not recorded, profiled, or sent anywhere by us.

• Location (GPS) — used solely to display your current speed in the on-screen speedometer. Location is processed on-device and is not stored or transmitted.
• Notification access — used to read the active media-playback session (to show “Now Playing” and let you control it) and the navigation app’s turn-by-turn notification (to show the next maneuver, distance, and ETA). Notification content is read transiently to render these cards and is not stored or transmitted.
• Query installed apps — used to list and launch your apps in the drawer and favorites.
• Modify system settings — used only to adjust screen brightness from the quick-controls slider.
• Photos/media (image selection) — if you choose a custom wallpaper or brand logo, the selected image is copied into the App’s private storage on your device for display.
• Default Home (launcher) role — used so the App can act as your home screen.

3. Data we store

The App stores your preferences locally on the device (for example: theme and accent color, favorite apps, hidden apps, clock and unit settings, and white-label branding such as brand name, logo, and colors). This data stays in the App’s private storage and is removed when you uninstall the App.

4. Data we collect

None. Dnyantra does not collect personal data, does not contain analytics or advertising, and does not transmit your information to us or to any third party.

5. Third-party apps and services

The App can launch or surface information from other apps you have installed (for example a navigation or music app). When you use those apps, their own privacy policies and terms apply. Dnyantra does not control and is not responsible for the data practices of third-party apps.

6. Distribution platforms

If you install Dnyantra from Google Play, Google may collect information related to the installation and your device in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. This is independent of the App and not controlled by us.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

8. Security

Because data is kept on your device and not transmitted to us, it is protected by your device’s own security. We recommend keeping your device updated and secured with a screen lock.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and posted on this page.
